Mansour Ahmadshahi was born in Tehran, Iran on December 3, 1959. He graduated with honors from Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in May 1981. He continued his graduate level studies and received his Master of Science and Ph.D. with high honors in 1986 and 1988, respectively. Mr. Ahmadshahi’s Ph.D. thesis was on the subject of Experimental Mechanics Utilizing Optical Techniques and Digital Image/Signal Processing. Mr. Ahmadshahi received his Juris Doctor in 2001 from Western State University College of Law.
Mr. Ahmadshahi’s area of practice is Intellectual Property Laws including Patent Prosecution and Litigation, Trademarks, Copyrights, and Unfair Business Practices.
Before starting his firm, Mr. Ahmadshahi was a partner at Law Offices of Kayhan S. Shakib where he practiced general law focusing on litigation in the areas of real estate, business, and personal injury cases.
Prior to the practice of law, Mr. Ahmadshahi was a staff scientist at C.E. Niehoff & Co., a defense contractor which manufactures state-of-the-art generators for military vehicles. Mr. Ahmadshahi also held the position of Research Engineer with the University of California, San Diego in the areas of Optics and Mechanical Engineering, developing laser-based optical techniques for evaluation of advanced materials under high-impact dynamic loads.
Mr. Ahmadshahi is a member of the State Bar of California, and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is or has been a member of the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Iranian-American Bar Association, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Society of Experimental Mechanics, Optical Society of America, Society of Automotive Engineers, the American Society for Non-destructive Testing, Association of United States Army, and the American Defense Preparedness Association.
Mr. Ahmadshahi has presented various papers and is the author and co-author of 15 peer reviewed publications which include the following: M. A. In additions to his professional involvement, Mr. Ahmadshahi is also involved in cultural and community activities and is a member of the board of directors of SIMORGH, a charity organization assisting children with cancer. He has also been involved in sports and outdoor activities. He is a long distance runner and has completed four marathon races in Chicago and Los Angeles. |
